Overview

In this role you will support the Senior Category Manager to deliver cost and efficiency savings across NHS procurement. You will engage senior external clinical and operational stakeholders regionally and nationally, driving innovation in the Digital Health space. You will leverage your senior procurement experience in digital or complex spend categories to manage contracts, supplier engagement and value-for-money initiatives. This is a collaborative, impact-driven position within NHS LPP, offering development opportunities and flexible working to support transformation across the NHS.”

Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of procurement projects within key timelines to realise cost savings
  • Ensure contract compliance and procurement excellence across NHS LPP
  • Develop and implement category strategies through demand and market analysis
  • Engage with NHS Trusts and stakeholders to align on standards, contracts and supplier management
  • Provide commercial advice for local, regional and national NHS initiatives
  • Identify and manage risk throughout the procurement process
  • Monitor national procurement initiatives from DHSC, NHS England, NHS Supply Chain/SCCL, and Crown Commercial Service

Key requirements

  • MCIPS (Registered full Member)
  • Degree-level education or equivalent
  • Senior specialist commercial/procurement experience in a management role
  • Understanding of NHS/public procurement and commercial environment
  • Experience in contract management, supplier engagement and stakeholder management
  • Ability to manage, influence and lead people and priorities
