Overview
In this Team Leader role, you will oversee a large group delivering highly specialised paediatric nursing in the community. You’ll drive a seven-day service for children and families, coordinating care and leading service development with a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. You will work autonomously within a MDT, using resources effectively to shape local care delivery. This role offers a meaningful impact on children with complex and time-limited needs and on the overall quality of community nursing services. You’ll join a values-driven Trust and help advance patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Manage a large team of staff delivering highly specialised nursing care and advice
- Plan, implement and deliver children’s nursing services in the community
- Coordinate day-to-day care for children requiring nursing support and continuing care
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and ongoing service evaluation via audits
- Ensure safety and quality are integral to care delivery
- Support service development and shaping of future local services
Key requirements
- Significant post-registration experience in paediatric nursing
- Experience in managing a team and achieving positive outcomes
- Experience in workforce planning and delegation for children’s community services
- Experience of MDT working and cross-boundary collaboration
- Involvement in quality improvement
- Excellence in interpersonal and communication skills
