Overview

In this role you drive the financial performance of vehicle programmes by partnering with cross-functional teams across Engineering, Design, Launch and Purchasing. You will manage budgets, forecasting, and reporting to optimise ROI and support investment decisions. You’ll influence senior stakeholders and champion process improvements to improve value for money. This position offers broad impact across programmes and a chance to shape financial governance in a renowned automotive business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead business partnering for vehicle programmes with cross-functional teams to manage performance against targets from concept to production
  • Approve budgets at shareholder level and hold budget holders accountable
  • Manage budgets for Engineering and Purchasing function groups and monitor capital spending and BOM costs
  • Deliver month-end results and provide insightful reporting to directors and management accounts commentary
  • Challenge stakeholders to ensure accountability and provide tools to track progress against financial targets
  • Drive process improvements and efficiency enhancements
  • Prepare programme KPI reporting and present profitability metrics to senior leadership
  • Forecast monthly and quarterly figures for wider business input
  • Maintain accurate spend forecasting and compare with prior programmes for value optimization
  • Maintain a live risks and opportunities register

Key requirements

  • Qualified Accountant or equivalent (ACCA/ICAEW/ICAS/CIMA)
  • Experience in managing and developing reporting, comfortable with large data volumes
  • Strong SAP and MS Office skills (Excel: Pivot, VLOOKUP, Power Query)
  • Continuous improvement mindset with ability to implement robust process solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with stakeholders
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities; adaptable and independent
  • Ability to work under pressure, deliver accurately and on time
