Head of Performance and Risk Analytics, Multi Asset and Solutions

Overview

In this role you lead the Risk & Performance Analytics team for Multi Asset and Solutions, driving advanced risk insights and oversight to support portfolio construction and client objectives. You act as a trusted adviser to investors and senior management, shaping risk governance and reporting while partnering with product and client groups. You will build scalable, data-driven processes and lead a high-performing team to enable thoughtful, disciplined investment decisions at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead investment risk oversight across all Multi Asset and Solutions portfolios
• Provide independent challenge on portfolio construction, positioning and risk-taking
• Oversee portfolio reviews, stress testing, risk reporting and thematic risk assessments
• Identify and escalate material investment risks and emerging vulnerabilities
• Lead, develop and motivate a high-performing risk team
• Support recruitment, succession planning and talent development
• Foster a culture of curiosity, challenge, collaboration and accountability
• Build scalable processes leveraging data, technology and automation
• Build strong relationships with PMs, CIOs and senior management
• Partner with Product and Client Group on client-related risk matters
• Support strategic initiatives, product launches and new investment capabilities
• Collaborate with Group Risk and other control functions
• Ensure adherence to investment risk policies, controls and governance standards
• Support governance committees, board reporting and regulatory requirements
• Maintain an effective framework for limit monitoring, exception management and escalation
• Ensure documentation and transparency of risk oversight activities

Key requirements

• Proven leadership experience with managing high-performing teams
• Deep understanding of multi-asset investing, portfolio construction and risk management
• Strong knowledge of global asset classes, derivatives, portfolio implementation and investment processes
• Excellent analytical skills and understanding of risk and performance models, analytical techniques and portfolio diagnostics
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of client requirements, market dynamics and investment strategy design
• Confidence engaging with and challenging senior investors and management teams
• Familiarity with major risk and portfolio analytics platforms and their strengths/limitations
• Experience implementing new technologies, analytical capabilities and process enhancements
• Track record of driving operational efficiencies and scalable risk frameworks through data and technology
