Overview
In this role you will be a highly specialized clinical trials pharmacist focusing on oncology and haematology. You will work within the clinical trials pharmacy team while maintaining and developing oncology clinical expertise alongside a growing research focus. You’ll help implement safe IMP handling, protocol support, and collaboration with clinical teams and research networks. Responsibilities
- Clinical screening and validation of SACT
- Support operational delivery of cancer pharmacy services
- Manage investigational medicinal products (IMPs) safety and governance
- Build and validate clinical trial protocols in electronic prescribing systems
- Capacity planning and collaboration with aseptic services
- Protocol review, feasibility, setup, governance and implementation
- Lead and mentor Band 7 and Band 6 pharmacists; workforce development and training
- Engage with regional/national research networks (RRDN, Cancer Alliance) and Research & Innovation Department
Key requirements
- Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Postgraduate Diploma or MSc in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experience
