Overview

In this Regulatory Healthcare Advisory role, you will manage a caseload of inquest files for NHS and healthcare clients while engaging in broader healthcare regulatory matters. You will work primarily in London with some national travel, supporting inquests, regulatory investigations, and related advisory work. The role offers clear progression and development as you take on increased responsibility within a respected firm. You will collaborate with clients and colleagues to deliver effective regulatory solutions that align with Weightmans’ values.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of inquest files for NHS, care homes, and other healthcare clients
  • Attend court hearings and provide advocacy at pre-inquest reviews and inquests
  • Prepare clients and witnesses for hearings through client meetings and documentation
  • Collaborate with colleagues in line with firm values and contribute to the wider healthcare advisory work (as needed)
  • Travel for hearings as required
  • Perform other duties within the wider remit of regulatory healthcare advisory

Key requirements

  • Qualified solicitor
  • 4-10yr PQE
  • Advocacy experience
  • Willingness to develop advocacy skills
