Technology Delivery Manager – Comms, Media & Technology

Overview

As a Technology Delivery Manager in Software & Platforms, you lead complex programmes that develop and operate software products, platforms and cloud services. You shape delivery strategy, governance and roadmaps, while owning commercial and programme health. You’ll manage geographically distributed teams across product, engineering, architecture, security and operations, ensuring delivery excellence and responsible AI governance. This role offers impact at scale by blending product thinking with platform capabilities to create measurable client value. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to drive transformative outcomes in a dynamic, innovation-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex software product, platform engineering and technology transformation programmes
• Define delivery strategy, governance, operating model, and integrated roadmaps with measurable outcomes across multiple workstreams
• Own programme financials, forecasts, resourcing, contractual commitments and overall health
• Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and advise on programme execution and platform transformation
• Lead geographically distributed teams spanning product, engineering, architecture, security, data, cloud, QA and operations
• Establish engineering and operational controls (architecture, code quality, CI/CD, security, resilience, release management, observability, service transition)
• Proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies, technical debt and non-functional requirements
• Shape AI-enabled delivery models, automation opportunities and reusable assets while upholding privacy, security and governance

Key requirements

• Significant experience leading complex technology, software engineering, digital product or platform programmes
• Strong programme leadership, commercial management and stakeholder influencing capabilities
• Proven experience guiding large, multidisciplinary, geographically distributed teams
• Solid understanding of product-centric delivery, Agile methods, SDLC and modern engineering practices
• Working knowledge of cloud-native architectures, DevOps, CI/CD, automated quality engineering, SRE or managed services
• Track record of improving delivery through innovation, automation, data and AI
