Private Client Partner – Hertfordshire

Overview

In this Private Client Partner role, you will lead a busy private client practice within a top-tier firm in Hertfordshire. You will manage wills, trusts, estate planning and probate matters, while deepening client relationships and driving new business. You’ll mentor junior lawyers and ensure regulatory compliance, contributing to the growth of the private client department. This is a chance to shape client service delivery and support the firm’s growth through strong leadership and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a varied caseload of private client matters including wills, trusts, estate planning, and probate
• Provide high-quality legal advice to individual clients, families, and trustees
• Manage and develop relationships with new and existing clients; participate in business development
• Lead and mentor junior lawyers and support staff within the private client department
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies
• Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to support departmental growth

Key requirements

• Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 6 years’ PQE in private client
• Proven track record handling complex private client matters and delivering client service
• Experience working within or alongside private client teams in the Northern Home Counties
• Strong business development and networking skills with ability to attract new clients and build relationships
