Overview
In this role you will develop and maintain detailed construction schedules for large-scale MEH installation work at Hinkley Point C, coordinating across tier contractors and multiple workstreams. You will drive look-ahead planning, identify schedule risks, and support continuous improvement to ensure safe, efficient delivery. You’ll work closely with PMO, construction management and 4D planning teams to align with project milestones and enable timely handovers. This opportunity lets you shape complex, regulated infrastructure delivery on a flagship nuclear project.

Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and update detailed construction schedules for installation, testing and commissioning
- Integrate activities from multiple Tier 1 contractors into a single coordinated programme
- Conduct schedule reviews and optimisation to improve sequencing and efficiency
- Identify and resolve programme clashes, constraints and interface challenges
- Coordinate activities across multiple workstreams to align with wider schedules and milestones
- Support 16-week look-ahead planning to keep fronts unconstrained and deliverable
- Monitor progress and forecast performance against milestones
- Produce planning reports, metrics and dashboards for stakeholders
- Collaborate with Construction Management to communicate resources, durations and priorities
- Utilise planning systems and digital tools to manage schedule data and project controls
- Work with 4D planning teams on visual sequencing and coordination models
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and capture lessons learned
Key requirements
- Proven experience in construction planning, project controls or scheduling within major engineering or infrastructure programmes
- Strong understanding of EPC environments
- Experience developing and managing detailed schedules and short-term look-ahead plans
- Ability to analyse performance, identify risks and develop recovery strategies
- Understanding of construction methodologies, contractor interfaces and site challenges
- Experience in regulated industries such as Nuclear, Energy, Defence, Utilities, Rail, Oil & Gas or Major Infrastructure
