Overview

In this role you will apply manufacturing and industrial engineering methods to optimise WIP flow, cycle time, equipment utilisation and throughput for cutting-edge compound semiconductors. You will maintain and improve capacity models, analyse production data, and support business decisions with capacity, cost and scenario analyses. You will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Automation and Tool Owners to assess impacts of process and equipment changes. This is a hands-on role focused on continuous improvement and delivering reliable delivery performance in a cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve the fab capacity model ensuring data accuracy for equipment and staffing decisions
  • Analyse WIP, equipment availability, throughput and operational data to identify improvement opportunities
  • Perform capacity, cost and what-if analyses to support business and operational decisions
  • Identify and resolve issues affecting cycle time, production flow and delivery performance
  • Assess capacity requirements from changes in product mix, process flows and demand
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Automation and Tool Owners on impact of process/equipment changes
  • Conduct time studies and data analysis to evaluate process and throughput improvements
  • Support introduction of new processes, methods and production flows
  • Estimate manufacturing costs, establish time standards and recommend tooling/process requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma and structured problem-solving methods

Key requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience in Semiconductor, Electronics or Automotive manufacturing with focus on capacity modelling, operations optimisation, data analysis and continuous improvement
  • Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred/required
  • Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering plus 3 years’ industry experience or equivalent proven industry experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
