Financial Accountant

Overview

In this role, you will join the UK Accounting function to support accurate UK reporting for Group and local statutory needs. You’ll work with a small team under the UK Accounting Controller to deliver timely audits, policy maintenance and technical accounting guidance. The role blends statutory compliance, audit support, and month-end close with opportunities to influence revenue recognition practices. You will operate in a collaborative, flexible environment that values professional standards and governance.

Responsibilities

• Complete UK external audit for Group reporting and local statutory accounts, including interim review
• Manage responses to external audit queries
• Ensure compliance with Group policies and maintain accounting policies
• Maintain and update process documentation
• Ensure adherence to Group controls
• Contribute to revenue recognition reviews for customer contracts
• Provide technical accounting advice to the UK finance community
• Lead month-end close and perform analytical reviews of P&L and Balance Sheet

Key requirements

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
• Experience in UK statutory reporting, audit and technical accounting
• Excellent technical accounting skills, especially revenue recognition
• Self-motivated, diligent, professional with a proactive mindset
• Oracle experience desirable
• Controls design and monitoring desirable
