In this role you will lead and shape multi-disciplinary design for critical infrastructure projects, ensuring designs are buildable, compliant, and efficient. Responsibilities

  • Manage contracts with external design consultants and contractors to ensure duties are fulfilled
  • Lead technical assurance, assess constructability, and guide design interfaces
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering teams to deliver project solutions
  • Collaborate with technical, operational, maintenance, and strategic stakeholders and design coordinators
  • Liaise with clients, project managers, and consultants on issues, scope changes, risks
  • Develop innovative, practical, and sustainable engineering solutions meeting client, operational, and regulatory needs
  • Embed health, safety and environmental considerations in all design work
  • Ensure integration across civil, structural, geotechnical, mechanical and electrical functions
  • Ensure constructability, maintainability and reliability across asset lifecycle

Key requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing design through full project lifecycle
  • Strong understanding of integrated design delivery and consultant performance management
  • Knowledge and experience of BIM and common data environments
  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Chartered Engineer status with ICE, IStructE or similar (preferred)
  • Experience with CAD (AutoCAD or Revit)
  • Excellent communication with clients and staff
