Business Development Manager (Waste, Energy, Biomass)

Overview

In this role you will drive commercial activity for a biogas site, overseeing feedstock supply and contract attainment to support plant performance. You will maintain and grow customer relationships while ensuring feedstock quality and regulatory compliance, contributing to KPI targets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and travel to client sites, enabling reliable waste-to-energy operations. This is a growth-focused position in a leading anaerobic digestion operator offering autonomy and progression opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Managing existing customer relations and securing new feedstock contracts for a biogas production site
• Ensuring KPI targets are met
• Overseeing timely delivery and testing of high-quality feedstocks to site
• Ensuring feedstocks meet internal standards and comply with environmental regulations

Key requirements

• 3+ years experience in a manager level position for commercial/sales/business development/supply chain aspects
• Track record of improving team KPIs
• Excellent people skills and proven client relationship experience
• Full UK driving license (travel to client sites)
• WAMITAB qualification (desirable)
• Knowledge of weighbridge systems (desirable)
