In this role you will lead project controls for high-impact manufacturing projects in the nuclear sector, supporting national security and the UK’s low-carbon goals. You’ll work within the Advanced Manufacturing Team as part of an integrated project team delivering complex programmes. You’ll shape schedules, cost control, and resource forecasts to keep critical projects on track. The position offers hybrid working and a chance to contribute to mission‑critical engineering at scale. Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Project Controls team across multiple workstreams
- Develop and maintain integrated project schedules (Levels 1–4)
- Define, implement and manage project control structures (WBS, OBS, RBS, CBS)
- Ensure alignment between Primavera P6, Cobra and IFS for schedule, cost and material tracking
- Provide regular schedule updates, metrics and analysis including critical path and resource/cost-loaded forecasts
Key requirements
- Experience using Primavera P6 in a project planning/controls environment
- Understanding of earned value management techniques and rules of credit
- Experience across full project lifecycles from bid to closeout
- Experience with integrated scheduling and project structure development (WBS/OBS/RBS/CBS)
- Experience applying forensic planning techniques
- Relevant professional experience in project controls or related technical discipline
- Security clearance (SC) eligibility
