Overview
As Research Associate, you will contribute to a 3-year ESRC-funded study led by senior researchers to understand how primary school children engage with video games, microtransactions and loot boxes, with a focus on ADHD and autism. You will collaborate across universities and partners to identify patterns, assess long-term effects, and translate findings into resources for families and educators. The role blends neurodiversity-focused research with policy-relevant dissemination, leveraging open science practices to advance knowledge. You will work in a supportive academic environment that values impact and collaboration.

Responsibilities
- Conduct research involving in-person interactions with neurotypical and neurodivergent children
- Communicate findings effectively through verbal and written channels
- Manage research projects, including timelines and deliverables
- Ensure ethical compliance and data protection in studies involving children
- Engage in Open Science practices such as pre-registration and data sharing
- Disseminate research to non-academic audiences and stakeholders
- Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to translate findings into resources and guidance
Key requirements
- Experience conducting research with neurotypical and neurodivergent children
