Overview
In this Senior Group Accountant role, you will drive the Group-wide financial reporting and consolidation, ensuring IFRS and Solvency II compliance. You will collaborate with the Finance team and Finance Directors across Hiscox units to deliver accurate, timely statements and support a continuous improvement culture. This is a chance to shape the group’s financial control environment and contribute to growth at scale. Responsibilities
- Produce and present consolidated Group financial reporting and statutory/regulatory deliverables in line with IFRS and Solvency II
- Maintain and enhance the Group consolidation reporting and broader financial control framework
- Manage strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Streamline and automate finance processes leveraging technology and best practices
- Support Head of Group Financial Reporting in developing continuous improvement culture
- Support and drive Finance and Group-wide projects relevant to the role
- Promote excellence across the Financial Control team
Key requirements
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
- Strong technical and financial reporting knowledge in financial services (preferably insurance)
- Ability to challenge and analyse results
- Hands-on, detail-oriented approach
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Understanding of group consolidation principles and financial reporting systems (preferably Oracle)
- Strong control mindset and experience
