Overview

In this role you will lead the 12-month Beyond Boundaries talent and learning programme within the Fast Stream and Emerging Talent team. You will co-facilitate workshops, coach participants, and drive ongoing improvements while coordinating with cross‑team stakeholders. You’ll manage end-to-end delivery, admin tasks, and post-programme mentoring to ensure impactful learning outcomes. This is an opportunity to influence civil service development at scale and contribute to a centre of expertise in public sector learning.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of the 12-month Beyond Boundaries programme
  • Lead and co-facilitate workshops with learners
  • Evaluate session effectiveness and drive continuous improvements
  • Serve as primary contact for ~50 learners; provide coaching (one-to-one and group via action learning sets)
  • Handle administrative tasks: pre-work, joining instructions, FAQs, feedback, attendance tracking and reporting
  • Deliver an additional 6 months of post-programme mentoring
  • Collaborate across teams to align with programme goals and feed insights into learning metrics
  • Scope and assist with other Fast Stream and Emerging Talent initiatives and share best practices across the unit

Key requirements

  • Experience of facilitating learning events individually and in pairs
  • Theoretical and practical understanding of adult learning styles guiding design and delivery
  • Understanding of evaluation methods and measuring learning impact, including continuous improvement
  • Experience in formal coaching and talent development and learning principles
  • Excellent knowledge of the wider civil service career pathways, success profiles and development opportunities
  • Open to feedback and learning agility
  • Strong relationship-building with internal/external stakeholders
  • Proactive project management and timely delivery
  • Formal coaching tools experience (desirable)
  • Experience with data to inform decisions and evaluate learning impact
  • Delivery and facilitation of training workshops
