Location: Glasgow / Faslane Area (Hybrid Working Available)Salary: 45,000 – 60,000 DOE + Benefits

The Opportunity
n
n A leading contractor delivering a major long-term defence infrastructure programme is looking to appoint an experienced Quality Control professional to support the successful delivery of complex mechanical and electrical installations.
n
n Working closely with project teams, site management, clients and subcontractors, you'll play a key role in ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, industry standards and stringent quality requirements expected within a highly regulated environment.
n

Key Responsibilities
n
- n
- Implement and maintain project quality management procedures.
- Review Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), quality documentation and commissioning records.
- Conduct site inspections and audits across mechanical and electrical installations.
- Monitor workmanship standards and ensure compliance with specifications and drawings.
- Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective actions.
- Support compilation of handover and quality assurance documentation.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and client representatives.
- Participate in quality meetings and provide regular reporting on quality performance.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and project-specific quality requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery teams.

Requirements
n
- n
- Previous experience in a Quality Control, Quality Assurance or Inspection role within M&E, Building Services, Construction, Defence, Energy or Infrastructure sectors.
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical installations.
- Experience managing QA documentation and quality systems.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management processes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in document control and reporting systems.
- Full UK driving licence.

Desirable
n
- n
- Defence, MOD, nuclear or highly regulated industry experience.
- Internal Auditor qualification.
- HNC/HND or equivalent engineering qualification.
- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects.
