The role

Working closely with business leaders, cross-functional teams and an external BI partner, you will help develop and manage the organisation’s data models, reporting infrastructure and BI capabilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Translating insurance entity relationships and business requirements into effective data schemas and models.
  • Working with an external BI team to build a robust data warehouse and develop insightful Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Gathering reporting requirements and providing relevant reporting for different teams and user groups.
  • Analysing datasets to identify trends, investigate root causes and highlight opportunities for improvement.
  • Improving data quality, consistency and governance across data sources, ETL processes and reporting.
  • Presenting findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Supporting the development of the business’s longer-term BI strategy and roadmap.

About you

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with close attention to data accuracy.
  • The ability to gather business requirements and communicate effectively with technical partners and non-technical stakeholders.
  • An understanding of data governance, integrity and security.
