Service Technician

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recondition and prepare vehicles to the highest mechanical standards.
  • Carry out routine servicing and maintenance work.
  • Replace brakes, timing belts, and other vehicle components as required.
  • Diagnose faults using the latest diagnostic equipment and technology.
  • Complete repairs efficiently and to manufacturer standards.
  • Accurately record all service, repair, and maintenance work.
  • Perform warranty-related inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, economically, and within agreed timescales.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
  • Deliver a “right first time” approach to all servicing and repair activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong mechanical knowledge and technical skills.
  • Experience servicing and repairing vehicles.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve faults effectively.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • A positive attitude and customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Who do we need?

  • Currently completing level 3 or fully qualified – NVQ Level 3 in relevant course or equivalent (e.g. City and Guilds, BTEC);
  • It is essential that the person has at least 2 years’ experience working within a multi-brand or non-franchise environment either as an apprentice or time served technician
  • Prior use of diagnostic equipment such as snap on or launch however full training will be provided
  • A full driving licence is essential
