Your new company

An established and respected multidisciplinary property and construction consultancy is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join its Aberdeen office. With a strong presence across Scotland and a diverse portfolio of projects, the business delivers professional quantity surveying and cost consultancy services across the commercial, residential, education, healthcare and public sectors.

Your new role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in delivering cost management services across a range of construction projects from inception through to completion. Working closely with senior team members and clients, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing cost estimates, budgets and feasibility studies
  • Managing tender processes and procurement strategies
  • Producing contract documentation and administering contracts
  • Cost reporting and financial management throughout project lifecycles
  • Valuations, variations and final account negotiations
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Supporting the successful delivery of projects across a variety of sectors

This role would suit a mid-level Quantity Surveyor looking to further develop their consultancy experience within a supportive and growing team.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
  • Previous quantity surveying experience within a consultancy/PQS environment
  • Strong understanding of pre-contract and post-contract cost management
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
  • Working towards MRICS status or already chartered would be advantageous
  • Full UK driving licence desirable
