The main purpose of the role of a Health Care Support Worker is outlined below

To deliver compassionate recovery focussed care and support in line with care plans

To support the multi disciplinary team by contributing to comprehensive assessments including ongoing health risk assessment and safety planning

To support the qualified nurse in managing risk with regard to vulnerable service user

To support qualified nurse to maintain safe clinical practice ensuring that clinical records are accurate correctly collated and up to date

To be involved in established audit process on the ward and participate in service improvement projects
