What will you be working on?

As a Graduate Fire Engineer, you’ll work on a variety ofexciting projects, helping to develop innovative fire engineering solutions fornew and existing buildings.

Your work will include:

  • Carrying out fire engineering analysis on arange of new and existing building projects.
  • Working across a diverse range of buildings,including high-rise office buildings, large retail complexes and airportdevelopments, each presenting its own unique challenges.
  • Analysing fire growth, means of escape,structural fire resistance and smoke control using a variety of methods,including computer modelling software such as Computational Fluid Dynamics.
  • Preparing technical reports and liaising withclients, including some of the largest building developers in the country.

Requirements and Qualifications

To set you up for success in the role, you’ll need:

  • Right to work in the UK or Ireland.
  • A Master’s degree, achieved within the last twoyears or expected, in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, or Physics.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communicationskills in English.
  • Additional qualifications and experience

The following would also help you succeed in the role:

  • A team player who can work effectively withcolleagues at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and time managementskills.
  • A second European language is an advantage butnot essential.
