In this role, you’ll join one of ourBalfour Beatty Power T&D teams as a Supply Chain Graduate, based in Motherwell.

What you’ll be doing

As a Supply Chain Graduate you’ll

play a key role in supporting the efficient delivery of materials, equipment, and services across the power business. You’ll work closely with experienced colleagues across procurement, operations, logistics, and project teams to ensure the right resources are available at the right time, while helping to build strong relationships with suppliers and partners.

You’ll gain exposure to the full supply chain lifecycle, from sourcing and procurement through to supplier management, logistics, and delivery. You’ll develop your commercial awareness, analytical and problem‑solving skills, and understanding of how effective supply chain management supports the safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of power projects and infrastructure.

You’ll support with:

  • Assisting Supply Chain Managers and Buyers with sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management activities.
  • Supporting the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for power projects and operations.
  • Contributing to supplier research and market analysis to identify opportunities, risks, and cost efficiencies.
  • Preparing and reviewing purchase orders, supplier information, and procurement documentation.
  • Supporting the monitoring of supplier performance, delivery schedules, quality, and compliance.
  • Gathering, organising, and analysing supply chain data to support informed commercial and operational decisions.
  • Assisting with demand planning, inventory management, and ensuring materials are available when required.
  • Supporting the coordination of logistics and deliveries to ensure equipment and materials reach project sites safely and on time.
  • Working closely with procurement, project, engineering, operations, and commercial teams to support effective supply chain delivery.
  • Maintaining accurate supply chain, supplier, and procurement records across relevant systems and ERP platforms.
  • Supporting the identification and management of supply chain risks, including delays, shortages, cost changes, and supplier issues.

Who we’re looking for

We value your potential over past experience and are looking for graduates with a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Operations Management or relatedand a genuine interest in our industry. To be eligible, you’ll need to achieve a minimum 2:2 honours degree by the time you start.
