Job Title: Engineering Scheduler & Stocks Controller

Location: Bromborough, Wirral

Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum

Shift: Monday to Friday – DAYS ONLY

Job Role of the Engineering Scheduler & Stocks Controller An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Engineering Scheduler & Stocks Controller to join a well-established manufacturing business in the Bromborough area.This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and proactive individual with experience in engineering planning, maintenance scheduling, inventory management or engineering stores to join a busy engineering department.The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the engineering function by coordinating maintenance activities, overseeing spare parts availability and ensuring engineering schedules are effectively managed.Working closely with the engineering and reliability teams, you will help improve equipment availability, ensure maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and support the smooth running of engineering operations across the site.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and develop planned maintenance schedules to support machinery reliability and minimise production downtime.
  • Monitor ongoing engineering activities, ensuring maintenance tasks are progressing in line with agreed schedules.
  • Maintain accurate engineering records, including maintenance reports, technical documentation and equipment information.
  • Oversee the organisation and day-to-day management of engineering stores and spare parts inventory.
  • Ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained for essential engineering components and replacement parts.
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to coordinate the availability of engineering materials.
  • Monitor engineering expenditure and assist with tracking costs against departmental budgets.
  • Produce reports detailing maintenance completion rates, outstanding tasks and scheduling performance.
  • Coordinate statutory inspections, planned site checks and other engineering compliance activities.
  • Work closely with the engineering management team to improve maintenance planning processes and operational efficiency.

Non-Negotiable Requirements

  • Previous experience in an Engineering Scheduler, Maintenance Planner, Engineering Coordinator, Stock Controller or similar role.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience coordinating maintenance activities, managing engineering inventory or controlling spare parts.
  • Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively with engineering teams and external suppliers.

Desirable Requirements

  • Previous experience working within a manufacturing, production or industrial engineering environment.
  • Knowledge of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) systems.
  • Experience using CMMS, ERP or inventory management software.
  • Familiarity with engineering components, machinery spares and maintenance materials.
  • Experience monitoring departmental expenditure and preparing performance reports.
  • Understanding of engineering compliance inspections and maintenance documentation.
