Job Description:

Senior Pitch Interior Designer

Birmingham | Highly Flexible Hybrid

£70,000+ Basic + Commission (Negotiable for the Right Person)

I’m working with a leading commercial interiors business looking to bring in an exceptional Senior Pitch Interior Designer to join their Birmingham team.

This is a role for a proper workplace creative, someone who loves the front end of the design process, enjoys getting in front of clients and gets a buzz from turning a brief into a concept that wins the room. You’ll take the creative lead on pitches for commercial workplace projects, building compelling concepts and bringing them to life through storytelling and confident client presentations.

This isn’t a role for someone who wants to sit quietly behind a screen producing drawings. They want someone who enjoys the energy of a pitch, can read a client, challenge a brief and sell the thinking behind their design.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading the creative design response for workplace pitches and new business opportunities
  • Turning client briefs into strong, original and commercially relevant interior concepts
  • Developing concept designs, look and feel, space planning, material palettes and presentation material
  • Building a clear narrative around each concept, not just a collection of visuals
  • Presenting and pitching directly to clients and key stakeholders
  • Working closely with sales, pre-construction and the wider design team on winning proposals
  • Attending client meetings, workshops and pitch presentations
  • Designing with both creativity and deliverability in mind
  • Helping the business keep raising the creative bar across its workplace portfolio

What’s on offer:

  • £70,000+ basic, with the overall package negotiable depending on experience
  • Commission, so you benefit financially from the work you help win
  • Significant hybrid flexibility, not five days a week in the studio
  • Real creative influence and direct work with clients

Requirements:

  • Substantial commercial workplace interior design experience, ideally in a workplace D&B business or a leading workplace design studio
  • A strong portfolio of commercial workplace projects
  • Significant experience creating concepts for competitive pitches
  • Excellent conceptual ability, presentation skills and storytelling
  • Confidence presenting directly to clients, with the personality to build rapport and become a trusted creative voice
  • Good understanding of workplace trends, materials, furniture and evolving ways of working
  • Commercial D&B experience would be a major advantage

If you’re a strong workplace designer who enjoys the pitch far more than the technical delivery, this one’s worth a chat.
