We are seeking an experienced Commercial Category Lead to support a major government technology function, leading complex commercial activity across hardware, software, cloud and digital services., SC Cleared based in London or Milton Keynes. Commutable from Northampton, Bedford, Peterborough, Luton, North London.
You’ll be responsible for developing category strategies, managing procurement pipelines, and delivering compliant end-to-end procurements under both PCR15 and the Procurement Act 2023 (PR23). Working with senior stakeholders, youll provide expert guidance on government frameworks, commercial governance, sourcing strategies and technology procurement best practice.
Key Skills Experience
- Extensive public sector procurement experience, ideally within DDaT or technology categories
- Strong knowledge of PCR15 and/or Procurement Act 2023 (PR23)
- Experience procuring software, cloud, infrastructure and digital services
- Expertise in government frameworks including G-Cloud, Digital Outcomes and other commercial routes to market
- Proven ability to lead high-value procurements and commercial governance activities
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills
- Experience developing sourcing strategies and managing commercial risk
Desirable
- MCIPS qualified or equivalent
- leading commercial teams
- Cloud transformation procurement experience
- Understanding of AI procurement and assurance principles
