Senior Financial Analyst, Northern Europe GBO Finance

Overview

In this role you will partner with the NE GBO Finance Lead to provide strategic, data-driven finance support to the Northern Europe leadership, acting as a trusted advisor to VP-level executives. You will own end-to-end planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reviews to optimize revenue and resource allocation across the NE cluster. You will lead critical financial cadences, contribute to executive narratives, and drive automation and AI-enabled analytics to scale finance processes. This role sits at the intersection of finance, analytics, and commercial strategy, shaping decisions that impact Google’s advertising business in Europe.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the NE GBO Finance Lead to influence commercially-focused decisions at VP level
• Lead end-to-end annual planning, quota/goal setting, and performance reviews for Northern Europe Large Customer Sales
• Chair weekly trading calls and provide QBR finance inputs to guide commercial execution and investments
• Own the cluster’s financial reporting architecture using SQL and Google sales platforms to build scalable pipelines and dashboards
• Leverage Generative AI tools, Python, and advanced SQL to automate recurring workflows and enhance analytical depth
• Advise on resource allocation, financial evaluations, and strategic initiatives across the NE cluster
• Act as a trusted counsel in leadership forums, balancing advocacy with constructive challenge
• Navigate large, complex datasets to craft executive narratives and scalable financial models

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or equivalent practical experience
• 7 years of FP&A, consulting, or related experience
• Experience executing full-cycle FP&A (budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, modeling) in a multinational setting
• Experience in data analytics, SQL, and dashboards
