Quantity Surveyor

Overview

As a Quantity Surveyor at Assystem you will drive commercial management on NEC-based contracts, ensuring timely payments, cost control and contract compliance. You will support Contract Leads, liaise with client teams, and manage interfaces across project controls to keep programmes on track. The role sits within a regulated, safety-focused environment and contributes to delivering complex infrastructure in a cross-functional setting. This is a hands-on position in Warrington with engagement in bid support and change management, offering real impact on project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Contract administration for existing contracts under the Commercial Manager
• Provide commercial advice to Contract Leads
• Manage contract timescales and input in CEMAR
• Process applications for payments
• Communicate under the contract and support programme submissions
• Forecast submissions and change management
• Raise early warnings and support bids for new call-off contracts
• Cost control and reporting for projects
• Support project/contract progress meetings
• Liaise with Client CEMAR Superuser and Client commercial team
• Interface with Contract Leads, Finance, Cost Engineering and Project Controls
• Interface with Client Commercial and Project Managers

Key requirements

• NEC contract administration experience (NEC4 Professional Service Contracts preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel at least intermediate
• Ideally degree qualified in Quantity Surveying
• Able to manage and prioritise competing priorities
• Working to high levels of accuracy and contract compliance
• Ideally prior CEMAR experience
