Senior Software Engineer – React Native – Consumer

Overview

In this role you build and own high-quality React Native features end to end for Kraken’s consumer mobile app, helping expand into Asian markets. You partner with Product and Design to shape intuitive, data-driven financial experiences and navigate regional UX and connectivity constraints. You’ll work with real-time data and APIs, making thoughtful architectural decisions to improve performance and reliability. This is an opportunity to influence product direction while shipping in a fast-paced, product-minded team.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end feature development from problem to measurement and iteration
• Collaborate with Product and Design to craft responsive, trustworthy financial experiences
• Work with APIs and real-time data, making decisions on state, rendering, performance, and architecture
• Raise the product-engineering bar through code reviews, collaboration, and strong ownership
• Contribute as the regional UX and design expert for Kraken’s Asian app, advising on firewall/connectivity requirements and tooling

Key requirements

• Strong React Native experience with production applications
• Product mindset with the ability to translate problems into measurable outcomes
• End-to-end feature ownership with data-driven assessment
• Experience building data-rich apps using APIs and real-time data
• Ability to collaborate in English with Product and Design; comfortable with multiple roles in a fast-moving team
• Proven track record shipping consumer mobile apps for Asian markets
• Comfort with AI tools to improve speed while maintaining engineering judgment
