Senior Director, Procurement Plastic Packaging, EMEA

Overview

In this role you will lead the Global Plastic Packaging program for the Coca-Cola system in Europe, Middle East, Africa and CIS, shaping regional PET packaging strategy and delivering value across the supply chain. You will work with TCCC, bottlers and suppliers to secure long-term, sustainable supply and cost savings in a US$1.3B annual spend. You join a global procurement team driving cross-functional collaboration, supplier optimization and decarbonization initiatives. You will influence procurement decisions at the highest level and shape PET packaging strategy and execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop the CEPG PET Packaging strategy for the region and contribute to global strategy to realize savings and value
• Provide PET value chain direction and cost forecasting for company-owned operations and bottlers
• Negotiate regional contracts totaling approximately $1B annual spend
• Manage contracts and supplier agreements
• Develop Price Risk Management tools for PET Resin
• Coordinate with R&D, QSE and Engineering for prioritized development in the region
• Support commercial evaluation of projects
• Lead supplier selection and relationship management for identified projects
• Provide commercial leadership in contracting for projects
• Serve as SME on PET packaging in the region
• Develop and mentor regional procurement capability in PET
• Drive program execution across bottlers with strong engagement and collaboration
• Influence supplier decisions to achieve optimal solutions
• Develop negotiation strategies aligned with financial, innovation and sustainability objectives
• Provide supplier assessment and regional portfolio within CEPG
• Support sustainability initiatives for recycled PET, decarbonization, and rPET roadmaps to meet 2030 goals
• Promote circularity by enhancing upstream collection and rPET feedstock availability

Key requirements

• 10-15+ years in global/regional procurement or sourcing with PET packaging value chain experience
• Strong cross-functional relationship skills and ability to engage senior management
• Knowledge of PET value chain including virgin and recycled resin, molding processes
• Experience with strategic sourcing and supplier management across complex networks
• Ability to evaluate bottler/business unit plans and translate into procurement strategy
• Experience with negotiation and contract management
• Fluent English communication; additional languages a plus
