Overview
In this role, you join Oliver Wyman’s Banking & Financial Services team to help clients across the sector solve complex problems and drive strategic transformations. You will work closely with clients and cross‑functional teams to plan analyses, uncover core issues, and shape practical recommendations. The role offers leadership on projects, with opportunities to mentor junior staff and grow into broader client leadership. Responsibilities
- Break down complex problems into actionable tasks and guide junior consultants to the core issues
- Plan and execute rigorous analyses, synthesize findings, and craft actionable recommendations
- Collaborate with clients and project teams to progress projects and manage small teams
- Lead on-scene project execution for Engagement Managers, ensuring recommendations are practical, cohesive, and well-communicated
- Develop thought leadership and strong client relationships through effective communication and strategic oversight
Key requirements
- 4–8 years of relevant experience, ideally with a top-tier strategy firm
- In-depth knowledge of the banking sector
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills with ability to leverage sophisticated analyses
- Excellent written and verbal communication in formal and informal settings
- Fluency in English; another language (French, German, Spanish, Dutch) preferred
- Undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program
- Willingness to travel
- Initiative, ability to learn quickly and apply skills
