Production Planner

Overview

In this role you will oversee planning, scheduling and labour planning for the high pressure business. You will leverage advanced Excel skills (including macros) to drive accurate planning and production routing, while preparing production paperwork. You will collaborate with production to hit despatch dates, perform demand and capacity planning, and coordinate with purchasing. Expect to drive continuous improvement and report KPIs to management, in a collaborative, on-site role in Redditch.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Production to meet despatch dates
• Conduct demand planning and labour capacity planning
• Raise and kit production paperwork
• Attend Daily Shortage Meetings with Supervisors
• Coordinate with production and purchasing teams
• Lead continuous improvement/LEAN initiatives
• Know and report KPI data to management

Key requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Level 3 NVQ/ A level (CIPS/APICS) or above
• Strong analytical, computer, communication and writing skills
• Strong data capabilities
• Excel expertise including macros/formulae
• SAP experience (advantageous)
• Experience with MRP purchasing and production planning/capacity planning
