EHS Operations Program Manager, Compliance, Strategy, and Risk Management

Overview

In this role you will design and deliver proactive EHS communications, independently manage EHS programs, and drive ISO 14001 and related systems to ensure a safe, compliant workplace. You will assess operational EHS risks, shape mitigation programs, and collaborate with global colleagues to drive regional and global improvements. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to monitor performance and implement corrective actions, contributing to Google Cloud’s safety and sustainability agenda. This position offers meaningful impact across offices, time zones, and regulatory contexts.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver targeted EHS communications for stakeholder groups
• Manage EHS programs independently to ensure safety and compliance
• Drive implementation and maintenance of ISO 14001 and related systems
• Identify, evaluate and mitigate operational EHS risks impacting the business
• Collaborate with global EHS colleagues to share best practices and drive improvements
• Monitor program performance and implement corrective action plans
• Coordinate incident investigations and recommend recurrence prevention measures
• Provide clear cross-functional updates on progress, risks, and deadlines

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• 2 years of experience in program or project management
• Experience with EHS regulations in England, ETS, environmental regulations, and permits
• Experience coordinating incident investigations and recommending preventive measures
