Senior Software Engineer

Overview

In this Software Engineer role, you’ll contribute to the R&D team building the Quantexa Platform, a Contextual Decision Intelligence product that handles large data sets to detect anomalies and support decision-making. You will work on backend services, embracing functional programming and scalable architectures. You’ll collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready solutions and help shape the platform’s evolution. Responsibilities

• Design, build and deliver high-quality, well-engineered solutions to complex problems
• Ensure solutions fit well within the wider system and scale
• Contribute across the full software lifecycle from design to deployment
• Engage with DevOps tooling and automation practices to improve tooling and delivery
• Work with data processing and pipeline concepts relevant to production systems (ETL/analytics)

Key requirements

• Commercial Scala and Functional Programming experience
• Experience across the full engineering lifecycle (design, implementation, testing, deployment)
• Familiarity with DevOps tooling and approaches
• Nice-to-have: Big data tech (Spark preferred; Hadoop or Elasticsearch)
• Experience building data processing pipelines and improving data quality/integrity
• Ability to manipulate and cleanse data for production use
