Financial Accountant – Fully Qualified

Overview

In this role you will support the Financial Controller and Senior Financial Accountant within a collaborative finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. You will handle reconciliations, VAT and statutory reporting, and assist in the preparation of statutory accounts. You will manage due diligence on customers and suppliers, monitor cash and banking activities, and coordinate external audits. The role offers hybrid working in SW London, a 35-hour week, and a clear path to impact across international divisions (MENA and Ireland).

Responsibilities

• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations and support monthly close.
• Conduct VAT reporting and prepare quarterly returns for HMRC.
• Assist in preparing statutory accounts and coordinating external audits.
• Carry out monthly and ad hoc reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare compliance returns for HMRC and ONS.
• Conduct due diligence assessments on key customers and suppliers.
• Monitor cash balances and manage banking and investment accounting.
• Support international duties for divisions in MENA and Ireland.

Key requirements

• Fully Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Experience performing reconciliations
