Property Litigator – Birmingham

Overview

In this role you will handle a broad spectrum of property litigation for commercial and private clients within an established Dispute Resolution team in Birmingham. You will manage your own caseload, advise on strategy, draft documentation, negotiate, and, where appropriate, advocate. The position supports both landlords and tenants in residential and commercial disputes, including boundary and TOLATA matters, with potential to assist the wider litigation team. A strong client-care focus and the chance to contribute to the department’s growth add meaning and impact, with hybrid/flexible working available.

Responsibilities

• Manage own caseload across property litigation matters
• Advise clients on strategy and outcomes
• Draft legal documents and correspondence
• Conduct negotiations and, where appropriate, advocacy

Key requirements

• 2-5 years’ PQE in property litigation (or demonstrable relevant experience)
• Experience in contentious landlord and tenant matters for landlords and tenants
• Exposure to residential and commercial property disputes (including boundary disputes, TOLATA, professional negligence related to property)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfort with case management systems and Microsoft Office
• Willingness to contribute to business development
