Claims Advocate

Overview

In this role you will act as a Claims Advocate for transactional risk policies across W&I and tax liability, supporting insureds in claims resolution and coverage strategy. You will collaborate with underwriting and broking teams to deliver commercially pragmatic outcomes while maintaining strong client relationships. The role blends rigorous legal analysis with strategic stakeholder management in a visible, commercially oriented environment. You will contribute to a platform that manages complex claims across EMEA and help shape coverage approach and client service. This is an opportunity to combine legal expertise with market-facing impact in a specialist insurance space.

Responsibilities

• advise on coverage strategy for W&I and tax-related claims
• coordinate with insureds, underwriters, brokers, and other stakeholders
• drive commercially pragmatic outcomes while ensuring efficient claims handling
• advise on complex coverage analysis and litigation oversight as needed
• maintain and nurture client relationships throughout claims process
• work closely with underwriting and broking colleagues to manage portfolios
• interpret policy language and assess coverage disputes
• support claims resolution with strategic, business-focused guidance

Key requirements

• UK-qualified lawyer
• experience handling W&I claims or broader Financial Lines claims (e.g., D&O, PI, FI) with complex coverage analysis
• ability to oversee litigation and coordinate cross-functional teams
• open to private practice, insurer/broking claims, or in-house legal/claims roles
