Senior Data Analyst II

Overview

In this Senior Data Analyst role, you own complex data products from question to delivery, partnering with senior stakeholders and technologists to craft reliable, reusable analytics solutions. You will contribute to data models and semantic layers for AI-based initiatives, driving data-driven decision making across the STMJ team. You’ll influence strategy, advocate for data-backed decisions, and coach colleagues to elevate end-to-end project delivery. This role sits at the intersection of publishing science, data, and technology, offering impact at scale within a global information and analytics leader.

Responsibilities

• Own analytics projects from planning to delivery, translating business questions into data solutions
• Collaborate with product managers, analytics engineers and technologists on data product development with governance
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders to shape strategy and promote data-driven decisions
• Adopt new tools and techniques to speed up delivery and improve solutions
• Coach junior colleagues in business engagement, analysis design and end-to-end project management

Key requirements

• Substantial experience in a data-oriented role with a track record of delivering complex projects
• Ability to communicate clearly with senior and technical stakeholders
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
• Experience in data preparation and blending (Excel, Snowflake, or other data platforms)
