Sessional Coach – London

Overview

In this role you will deliver safe, inclusive and high-quality football coaching across multiple programmes and venues in London. You will build relationships with local clubs, schools and community partners to broaden outreach and engagement. You’ll support the team with networking and sharing opportunities to grow the delivery programme. This is a community-facing coaching role that contributes to Chelsea FC Foundation’s mission to develop young people through football.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, inclusive, high-quality coaching daily across core programmes (in-school, after-school, player development, post-16 and school holiday sessions)
• Engage and develop relationships with local youth clubs, schools, organisations, leisure centres, local authorities and The Club
• Deliver activities deemed appropriate by the Line Manager
• Support the wider team by networking and sharing relevant information and opportunities to enhance outreach delivery

Key requirements

• FA Introduction to Football Coaching qualification (or FA Level 1)
• In-date FA Safeguarding Children course
• FA Introduction to First Aid in Football
• Clean driving licence or ability to travel by public transport
• Enhanced DBS check (or be willing to undergo one)
• Experience in community/grassroots sport as participant or coach
• Experience working as part of a team within a sporting environment
