Proximity Category Buyer

Overview

As Proximity Category Buyer you will optimise the packaging supply chain for a portfolio across international brands, delivering cost and quality improvements while ensuring compliance. You will collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to support R&D, change projects, OTIF delivery, and accurate invoicing. Your work directly influences supplier performance and sustainable sourcing within Pernod Ricard’s global framework. This is a chance to impact packaging costs and service levels at scale.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sourcing and customer service to maintain quality, cost, and compliance across packaging supply chain
• Minimise errors and ensure system setup and daily controls are accurate
• Support R&D and Change Request projects to achieve OTIF delivery and approved invoices
• Conduct category analysis to support tendering, supplier selection, and cost improvements
• Develop and manage subcategory strategies in line with the broader category plan
• Produce reporting for Pernod Ricard HQ on spend and sustainable sourcing
• Manage supplier relationships and interface with internal teams to ensure supply continuity
• Maintain supplier SLAs and support performance reviews and paid stock processes
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain and suppliers

Key requirements

• Transactional Supply Chain and Manufacturing experience
• Procurement processes knowledge (supplier onboarding, due diligence)
• Knowledge of finance systems such as E1 (modules, data setup, compliance)
• Experience with material specifications, SLAs, and contract drafting
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI
• Clean driving license
