Overview

In this role you will act as the dedicated Planning & Performance partner for QPS, shaping business plans and leading pricing while monitoring portfolio performance. You will collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, finance and risk teams to deliver insight that informs senior leadership decisions. You will embed planning capabilities across QPS and ensure alignment with wider CUO objectives. This is a high-visibility position that combines strategy, execution and governance to drive commercial outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual business planning, reforecasts and strategic planning for QPS
  • Coordinate cross-functional assumptions (underwriting, actuarial, finance, capital, exposure management, reinsurance) for aligned plans
  • Challenge plans to improve robustness and alignment with strategy and portfolio objectives
  • Support planning submissions, governance materials, and Lloyd’s planning requirements
  • Identify planning risks and dependencies and escalate as needed
  • Lead pricing activities for QPS ensuring alignment with Group standards
  • Coordinate renewal pricing activities across multiple stakeholders
  • Own the QPS performance management framework and monitor performance vs plans and targets
  • Deliver high-quality analysis to support decision-making and performance
  • Represent QPS in governance forums and respond to performance requests
  • Act as liaison between QPS and wider CUO organization to maintain alignment
  • Build relationships with senior stakeholders to embed planning and performance capabilities

Key requirements

  • Nearly qualified or fully qualified actuary (IFoA or equivalent)
  • Experience in business planning, performance management, actuarial, portfolio management or related insurance discipline
  • Strong understanding of insurance performance drivers and planning processes
  • Knowledge of the Lloyd’s market and planning framework
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insight
  • Strong stakeholder management with senior leaders
  • Experience supporting governance forums and executive reporting
  • Collaborative yet decisive with strong organizational and project management skills
