Lead Product Analyst – FinCrime

Overview

In this role you will partner with product, data science, and engineering teams to design and implement AML controls at scale, balancing risk prevention with a smooth user experience. You will translate data into actionable insights, drive key metrics for product and ops, and help shape features and models to combat financial crime. You will work across Wise’s data-rich environment to detect emerging risks and support decision making with data-driven storytelling. Responsibilities

• Expose process data to product teams in a meaningful, actionable way
• Own and track key metrics for product and operations
• Collaborate with data scientists to develop detection and mitigation means for financial crime
• Build a scalable framework for risk management and customer experience
• Drive discovery by scoping opportunities and proposing features/models to combat emerging risks
• Collaborate across Product, Data Science, Engineering, and Operations teams

Key requirements

• strong quantitative skills (statistics, maths, physics, engineering)
• experience with SQL and Python
• strong communication skills and ability to translate business problems into analytical solutions
• ability to structure problems with minimal supervision and prioritize independently
• hustler-mentality: proactive and able to drive tasks beyond analysis
• experience with data visualization tools (Looker, PowerBI, Tableau) and storytelling with data
• 4+ years of professional data analysis experience
