Applied AI Innovation Architect (Cloud Solutions)

Overview

As a Cloud Solution Architect focused on National Security, you design secure, production‑ready solutions for government and intelligence customers. You translate mission needs into technical concepts across Microsoft cloud, AI, and security platforms, delivering end‑to‑end AI-enabled applications. You work closely with stakeholders to prototype, deploy, and harden solutions in high‑trust environments. This role offers impactful work at the intersection of security, AI, and mission-critical operations.

Responsibilities

• Translate mission objectives into clear technical designs for national security customers
• Design, develop, and deploy solutions across Microsoft cloud, AI, and security platforms with open‑source integration where appropriate
• Move rapidly from concept to production, iterating with stakeholders to drive adoption
• Build and integrate applications, data pipelines, and system integrations in sensitive environments
• Apply secure‑by‑design principles including Zero Trust, IAM, data protection and compliance
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor balancing mission urgency with security and reliability requirements
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate field insights into platform improvements
• Support solution hardening, monitoring, and continuous improvement after deployment

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 8+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure, IT consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development, architecture, or related areas
• Security clearance requirements including British citizenship and UK residence; enhanced vetting (DVe)
• Experience with government or national-security customers (preferred)
