Head of Strategic Finance (Projects)

Overview

In this role you will steer Spicerhaart’s financial strategy to support rapid growth and future investment. You will partner with the Group Finance Director and Executive Team to lead high-impact projects that drive performance and long-term value. You will shape a 5-year roadmap, oversee acquisitions and funding, and embed AI and data storytelling to guide decisions. This is a hands-on leadership role at the heart of a high-performance, customer-focused organisation, offering a clear impact on the company’s future direction.

Responsibilities

• Create a 5-year financial roadmap to support organic and M&A growth
• Lead cost improvement and efficiency projects using AI, automation and data
• Provide board-level insights and financial storytelling to influence decisions
• Support acquisitions including financial evaluation and due diligence
• Participate in company valuation and funding activities
• Embed AI, automation and advanced data visualization across finance
• Review reward and incentive structures
• Implement changes under FRS102

Key requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• 5-10 years PQE
• Strong financial modelling and planning skills
• Experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing decisions
• Background in system upgrades, automation, or data-led transformation
• Proactive, hands-on with end-to-end project ownership
