Senior Systems Integration & Test Engineer

Overview

In this role you will lead the design, development and maintenance of test scripts and reports for a flagship UK programme. You will apply a risk-based testing approach across hybrid Waterfall/Agile processes to support national security goals. The position involves analysing requirements, crafting test designs and cases, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure test assurance in the change pipeline. You will work in a regulated environment, driving improvements and enabling mission-critical outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain test scripts and reporting using manual and automated frameworks
• Analyse requirements and designs to create test designs, cases and procedures
• Identify test data, tooling and environmental needs
• Collaborate with Test Leads and stakeholders to plan, execute and report test regimes
• Contribute to scrum teams and participate in daily scrums, driving task progress and obstacle resolution

Key requirements

• Understanding of the Testing Lifecycle and various testing types (Functional, Integration)
• Experience with systems integration including 3rd-party components
• Ability to create Test Cases from requirements and design documents
• Knowledge of testing frameworks (Katalon Studio, Selenium, SoapUI, Junit, DART)
• Experience with Agile workload management and bug tracking tools (Jira, Bitbucket)
• Familiarity with Xray test management tool
• Experience working in a regulated environment testing
