The Candidate Specification
We are recruiting for a Chief Officer and Chief Stewardess couple to join a well-established 50M+ private and charter yacht. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a professional, close-knit crew with excellent longevity onboard and supportive, highly regarded owners.
The yacht operates with long-standing Captains who trust their Heads of Department to manage their teams independently. The owners are considering moving to a larger yacht, with the intention of retaining the existing crew. We are looking for a hardworking, positive couple who lead by example and can commit to the programme for a minimum of two years.
Chief Officer
We are looking for a confident, hands-on Chief Officer with strong leadership skills and experience managing professional deck operations. A Chief Mate 3000 qualification is essential, alongside solid ISM and ISPS experience.
Previous experience on larger yachts is preferred, although a strong Second Officer ready to step up will also be considered. The successful candidate must be comfortable managing bridge administration, supporting deck operations and leading an established team with a respectful, proactive approach.
Chief Stewardess
We are looking for an enthusiastic Chief Stewardess to lead an experienced interior team of four. Strong service experience, excellent attention to detail and good administrative skills are essential, with some purser duties included.
The successful candidate must be confident around guests, approachable and happy to lead by example. The interior department has established routines, so respecting existing standards and building relationships with the team will be important. Strong Second Stewardesses ready to step up will also be considered.
