As a Senior Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of kinship placements and identifying the needs of children and families.
- Providing expert guidance and support to kinship carers, helping them navigate the fostering process.
- Developing and implementing care plans tailored to the individual needs of children and families.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to child welfare.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized Social Work qualification (Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Significant experience working within children’s services, particularly in fostering or kinship care.
- Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent organizational skills.
