MET Technician

We are recruiting for an experienced MET Technician, Mechanical Electrical Trim Technician or Bodyshop Technician to join a busy accident repair centre in Truro. Applicants must have previous MET experience within a bodyshop or accident repair environment, hold a Full UK Driving Licence and have the right to work in the UK. IMI accreditation or an equivalent qualification is desirable.

Location: Truro, Cornwall

Salary: £35,000 Basic

OTE: £50,000

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm – No weekends (however there is overtime available)

Carry out Mechanical, Electrical and Trim (MET) repairs and replacement work

• Remove and refit vehicle components during the accident repair process
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
• Complete repairs safely and efficiently within agreed timescales
• Work to required industry, insurance and repair standards
• Liaise with colleagues to ensure required parts are available
• Maintain high standards of workmanship throughout every repair

MET Technician Requirements

• Previous experience as a MET Technician within a bodyshop or accident repair centre
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
• Excellent attention to detail and high standards of workmanship
• Ability to work efficiently within a busy accident repair environment
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Right to work in the UK
• IMI accreditation or an equivalent qualification is desirable
