Salary: Up to £43,000 DOE

Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00

Location: Stowmarket

We are recruiting for an established logistics and freight business that is looking for an experienced Container Operations Manager to take responsibility for its container operation.

The Role – Container Operations Manager

• Run the day-to-day FCL / container operation
• Manage container movements from collection through to delivery
• Plan and coordinate vehicles, drivers and jobs
• Liaise with ports, depots, hauliers and customers
• Deal with any operational issues as they arise
• Monitor costs and keep the operation running efficiently
• Use TOPS to manage container movements
• Help improve processes and the way the operation runs
• Take responsibility for the overall performance of the FCL operation
• Provide support outside normal hours when required

What We’re Looking For – Container Operations Manager

• Previous experience in container haulage
• Experience managing or coordinating container movements
• Good knowledge of TOPS
• Confident dealing with customers, hauliers, ports and depots
• Able to take ownership and make decisions
• Organised and commercially minded
• Someone who can manage the operation independently

The business is open to discussing a profit share for someone who can bring existing customers or new business

Package

• £43,000, depending on experience
• 20 days holiday + bank holidays
